Challenges:

• Rewriting the entire application from jQuery, Bootstrap, and Webpack to Vue.js + Tailwind + Vite was a significant challenge as the existing application suffered from slow performance due to Bootstrap coupled with jQuery. Webpack also slowed the build process. Using Vue.js for reactivity and Tailwind with Vite for faster performance and development made the system more efficient.
• Building the frontend UI/UX from scratch using Figma required close collaboration with the designer and project manager. Developing a clean and intuitive user interface with Tailwind and Vue.js was a priority to meet high standards for user experience.
• Integrating Plaid and Modern Treasury required rigorous testing and careful adherence to documentation to ensure seamless, fast, user-friendly payment processing.
• Rewriting Feature tests from scratch, building Cypress and Dusk tests.
• Logging with Amplitude and tracing bugs with BugSnag for each important feature was an extensive task due to the variety of functions within the Closinglock application. Ensuring that every user action and platform error was tracked was challenging, but the integrations ultimately made it easier to trace errors.
